Zemková, Apolena ; Pfeiffer, Jan (advisor) ; Magidová, Markéta (referee)
This bachelor's thesis will focuses on installation art and its relation to space and spectators. The work will describes the development and strategies used for intensifying the meaning, perception and emotion. Spacial design and installation art as didactic techniques in education. Realization of a spatial installation working with the theme of space, size, time and feeling. In the theoretical part, I gradually mapped the artists of modern art from the middle of the 19th century to the 20th century and examined the medium of installation in relation to space in general, gallery and non-gallery space and in relation to the viewer. I tried to find out how the size and method of installation, the relationship, meaning and intensity of the work change. I also studied the development of techniques and strategies in the field of installation and video installation with an emphasis on current trends. In the practical part, I created an author-didactic teaching article in the form of video art, which, outside its historical-artistic context, works with the theme of dimension, time and experience. In my work, I created a brief list of artists who I feel touched on my topic, and I also looked for connections with today's artists. Thus, I developed an interpretive teaching position, which works in a way to...

Bartošová, Michaela ; Pfeiffer, Jan (advisor) ; Raudenský, Martin (referee)
TITLE: Paper, pencil and father, mother AUTHOR: Michaela Bartošová, Bc. DEPARTMENT: Department of art education SUPERVISOR: MgA. Jan Pfeiffer ABSTRACT: The diploma thesis examines different forms of humor through the eyes of selected theorists, artists or myself. It highlights the importance of humor in both life and teaching. Humor is seen as a tool, providing choice. It allows asking questions indirectly, it helps relieving the pressure or stress and develops creativity. It disrupts too serious social structures and thus revives itself. The objective of this thesis to defend the positive impact of humor on society, family, and teaching. I started thinking more about humor when I moved from my family. I missed its humor so much, and I realized, how important factor in life it is. This created an installation that captures family atmosphere, in which humor naturally arises. I reflect my relationship with my family, that has always been my big inspiration. At the very beginning, there were drawings from my diary captured in Prague, from my time when I was away from my home. Subsequently, audios recorded during family lunches. Nobody knew about them, so in the final version of the video installation I give a true picture of humor in my home. Pedagogical use presents class proposals which intentionally use...
Video art and public space
Shcherbak, Viktoriia ; Pfeiffer, Jan (advisor) ; Magidová, Markéta (referee)
The work deals with video art and issues related to the presentation of video art in gallery and non-gallery spaces. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts such as new media, analog and digital video and video art, and then examines the polymorphism of video as a medium influenced and modified by other media. The final section is devoted to spatial forms of video art, such as video performance and video installation, and explores the special aspects of video in three-dimensional space. In the practical part, I carry out a survey (N = 65) of viewers' attitudes to space and video art. Respondents preferred experiencing video art in a dark, "cinema-like" room over other given options (in order of popularity: spatial video installation in a gallery, YouTube and video projection in a public square). The most important characteristics of video art spaces for respondents were: good acoustics, high video resolution projection and affordability of access. In the final section of the practical part, I describe and realize a series of video installations and performances, working with experimental ambient music, video installations and non-gallery spaces. The didactic part of the work summarizes the advantages of using video art in school, specifically in art lessons, and presents a design for a...
